Software license
Copyright © 2026 Pross Co. This license covers the Dodalu desktop application (“Dodalu”) published by Pross Co (“we”). By downloading, installing, or using Dodalu, you agree to these terms.
License grant
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Dodalu on computers you own or control, for personal or internal business purposes. Every feature in the copy you download is available without paying.
This is a license to use the software, not a sale. We keep all rights not expressly granted, including the source code, trademarks, and the right to make derivative works of Dodalu.
Nagware, not freemium
Dodalu is freeware with reminders. After a short evaluation period on a given installation, unpaid copies may show occasional reminders asking for support. Those reminders do not disable features or limit use.
Paying is optional. You may keep using an unpaid copy.
Supporter registration
If you buy a supporter registration from us (currently at pay.dodalu.com), you may activate it on installations according to the terms shown at checkout. A valid registration quiets the reminders. It does not buy extra features, ownership of Dodalu, or a right to redistribute the app.
Do not share, sell, publish, or otherwise transfer registration keys. Do not circumvent, patch out, or hide the reminder or registration system.
What you may share
You may point people to the official download at dodalu.com. You may give someone an unmodified official installer, provided you do not charge for Dodalu itself and you leave this license intact.
You may not, without our written permission:
- sell, rent, or include Dodalu in a paid product or bundle
- distribute modified copies of Dodalu
- remove or obscure copyright, trademark, or registration notices
- use our names or logos to suggest we endorse another product
Your boards and files
Board files, Markdown, attachments, and other project data you create or store with Dodalu belong to you. This license gives us no rights in that data. We do not host it.
Agents and MCP
You may use Dodalu with local tools and AI agents, including the optional MCP server we ship, on computers you control. Those tools use Dodalu under this same license. They do not receive extra rights to copy or redistribute the app.
Updates
We may offer updates. Updates are licensed under these terms unless we say otherwise with that update. We do not promise that Dodalu will remain available, compatible, or unchanged.
No warranty
Dodalu is provided “as is,” including current public beta builds. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use it at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pross Co is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-data damages, or for any amount greater than what you paid us for that copy of Dodalu (which may be zero).
Termination
This license lasts until you or we end it. It ends automatically if you break it. When it ends, stop using Dodalu and uninstall it. The sections on our retained rights, your boards and files, no warranty, and limitation of liability survive. Your board files remain yours.
Changes
We may publish an updated license for future versions. The license that accompanied the version you installed continues to apply to that version unless you agree to a newer one.
